W omen comprise nearly 75% of the staff at McCay Kiddy, a local accounting and advisory firm, which has recently expanded with its third office in the Lowcountry. The women behind this firm create an environment of excellence by encouraging a sense of community. They organize corporate outings, internal celebrations and community giving. These activities strengthen relationships within the business culture. Additionally, the firm’s mentoring program has been instrumental in providing opportunities for growth. Partner Melissa Kiddy believes personal attention to staff development translates to outstanding client service. “When the staff feel supported in their growth, you see the results in the value they deliver to the client,” she said. This emphasis on individual growth has helped the company build trust and rapport between staff and clients.
